Farmer's Market

Experience the diversity of our Farmer's Market, where student entrepreneurs, Colorado vendors, and food trucks come together to showcase their goods and services. Set against the backdrop of our beautiful campus farm, the market is held on the 3rd Friday of each month from May to September and is filled with fresh produce, artisanal products, and delicious food from local vendors.

UCCS Plant Sale

The UCCS Plant Sale has been a long beloved tradition within our campus community. You can find a diverse selection of organic, heirloom, and less common varieties of tomatoes, peppers, beans, herbs, and flowers grown here at the UCCS Farm. 

Pre-order online sales go live from May 1st to May 10th. 

In-person sales and pre-ordered pickups will take place at the UCCS Farm (parking lot 103) from May 16th to May 18th, 8 am – 2 pm.

Education

Workshops

Immerse yourself in our experiential learning workshops, designed to equip home gardeners with the knowledge and skills needed for success. Each workshop lasts approximately 1 hour and evolves with the changing seasons.

  • May 17: Planting basics and soil
  • June 21: Germination
  • July 19: Transplanting and Plant Care
  • August 16: How to get the most fruit for your labor.
  • September 20: Harvest and storage

Farm Tours

Embark on an enriching journey through the UCCS Farm with our farm tours where we proudly practice permaculture principles to cultivate a thriving ecosystem and produce organic, sustainable produce. These tours offer an immersive experience into various facets of sustainable agriculture and urban farming practices. Explore our various gardens, interact with our Chickens and Ducks, appreciate our Bee pollinators, and discover Aquaponic systems. Delve into the intricate relationship between plants, animals, and the environment as you learn about our holistic approach to farming.
